Knick fan my sympathies are extended to you. Having been around to see the great teams of the 70’s I became spoiled by good basketball. Although I always hated the Celtics, I would always give them their due because that team for the most part came to win. As a fan you can’t ask for more than that from your team.
The Patrick Ewing era although exciting not really good basketball. Couldn’t handle the ball and absolutely coined the term “apple turnover.” The shooting was horrendous, and they could not hit the big shot when it counted. One thing they did do however was play hard. That energy alone was enough to make me respect them. This new crew, forget about, I don’t think I will be going to the Garden anytime soon.
